People’s Pathway
An eclectic collection of 24 rusty steel characters scattered along both sides of the main street. The People’s Pathway is a heritage trail with a difference. There are no boring signs on posts outside vacant lots where once was a building of some kind – instead, there is an eclectic collection of rust steel characters scattered along both sides of the main street, just waiting to meet you. Each has a  story to tell, and many will bring a smile or a chuckle – but only if you look closely!

  • The trail is marked for one-way travel only (anti-clockwise).
  • Trail markers on green recycled plastic posts clearly mark each turn and junction along the way.
  • The full loop is only 1.35km, so is suited to all ages and abilities.
  • There are 23 “people” (rusty steel sculptures) located along the way. Each carries a simple interpretive sign telling their story.
  • Take some water, a hat, you wallet (to buy an ice-cream at the shop or a beer at the pub) – and your sense of humour!

Perenjori has thrived through its strong and embracing sense of community. The People’s Pathway is our celebration of us – the people and community of Perenjori. We hope you enjoy your walk through our first 100yrs.
